Hard to believe that this week marked the half way point in January. The holiday decorations may have been taken down and put away, but another cold snap sweeps across the continent to remind many of us that it’s still winter. So, why not find a cozy spot, make yourself a hot drink, maybe a hot chocolate (I like mine with lots of marshmallows), put your feet up and do some reading? Lots of good stuff here to get you started.

Nate Hoffelder on The Digital Reader
Amazon is Testing a New Manage Your Kindle Page

Using ExperienceProject.com” target=”_blank”>Using ExperienceProject.com
“These are my “tips and hints” on how to use experienceproject.com as a tool for authors and bloggers alike. I haven’t told many of you about this place yet for a reason. It can make you, or break your little heart rather quickly. Follow my guidelines, and you’ll go far.”

Corina Koch MacLeod on Beyond Paper Editing
Free R&D for Authors
“In an interview with Len Edgerly, creator of the Kindle Chronicles podcast, author Scott Stratten suggests that authors who publish on Amazon are not making use of the “free R&D” available through the Kindle platform. Free R&D? Where do I sign up?”

Frances Caballo on Social Media Just for Writers
20 Blog Post Must-Haves for Every Writer
“Let’s admit it, coming up with blog post ideas can be difficult. As you scan the Internet it is sometimes difficult to determine what you can say that someone else hasn’t already written about, right?”

Terry Odell on Blood Red Pencil
Audio Editing
“This year’s new endeavor is the world of audio books. I’d always thought this was far too expensive to be within reach, but after a friend explained ACX (Audiobook Creation Exchange), I discovered there was a way to give it a try at no cost to me.”
