Training for Today’s Author: The Self-Publishing Roadmap Returns

by Joel Friedlander on September 4, 2013 9 Comments

Every day I get the questions in my inbox:

“Is self-publishing really something I can do?”

“There’s so much to learn, so much advice, they can’t all be right, can they?”

“With ISBNs, copyright, print on demand, CreateSpace, fonts, ebook conversion… I feel like I’m going crazy. Help!”

“I’ve published with traditional publishers, now my editor and several friends have told me to self-publish. But where do you start?”

And every day I answer as many questions as I can, because that’s a promise I’ve made to the authors who read my blog.

But there’s only so much you can say in an email, if you know what I mean.

In just a few days The Self-Publishing Roadmap, my video-based, multi-module training course for authors will be starting a new class.

For six weeks I’ll guide a group of authors through the maze of book publishing today. Authors who really want to get grounded in how all this stuff works.

Authors who want to learn to publish books that their readers really want to buy, without making unnecessary mistakes that can cost months of delay and thousands of dollars.

The Roadmap is the most extensive online video-based training for authors available anywhere. I’ll be offering the course in 3 different versions to make it available to as many people as possible.

I know a lot of people have been waiting to get into this course, and there are over 1,280 people on the early notification list. Those people will be receiving a very special offer.

Video Series Starts Today

Before I open up registration, I’m re-releasing three videos that directly address both the ways we can profit from self-publishing, as well as the obstacles that so often keep us from reaching our goals.

The first one talks about some of the reasons that self-publishing has become such a powerful alternative for today’s authors.

I call it “8 Keys to Self-Publishing Success Today,” and it’s live now.

The video runs about 19 minutes and is very content-rich. But you know that. There’s no fluff on my blog, just practical advice to help you build better books.

I hope you’ll take the time to watch this video, I think you’ll like it.

And if you do, or if it raises questions for you, I hope you’ll leave me a comment just below the video. That would be great.

(You’ll get the most out of this video if you make the time to watch it straight through. Here’s the link, I’ll see you there: 8 Keys to Self-Publishing Success Today.)

Joel, I clicked on the link (8 keys to self-publishing…) in the last sentence of the blog and I get a page stating Error 404 – Page Not Found. Just thought I’d let you know.

    Thanks.

It’s working for me now. Not sure what happened, but both links didn’t work after trying several times. But now all is good.

Try it in Excel or Firefox. Worked fine for me in these programs.
      Hope it works

Debra, thanks. Not sure what the problem was with the links when you left this comment, but it seems to be working fine now, hope you’ll have a chance to check it out.

Why?
"Writers change the world one reader at a time. But you can't change the world with a book that's still on your hard drive or in a box under your bed. This blog exists to help you get that book into people's hands."
