This Week in the Blogs, December 3 – 9, 2016

by Shelley Sturgeon on December 11, 2016 7 Comments

Another selection of great articles for you this week. Maybe take a few minutes out of your busy day to put your feet up and have a read? Why not treat yourself to a glass of eggnog or a cup of hot chocolate or some other special treat while you do?

Nate Hoffelder on The Digital Reader
Books2Read’s Universal Book Links Are a Great Tool For Authors
“Draft2Digital has come up with a solution to a problem which has been nagging authors for years.”

Jason Matthews on How to Make, Market and Sell Ebooks
Should you buy an ISBN?
“ISBN is for International Standard Book Number, issued by a select agency in the nation where the publisher resides. You’re probably familiar with 10 or 13 digit ISBNs appearing on the copyright page or above the barcode on the back of a print version book. The barcode just identifies the ISBN and may or may not include a price.”

RJ Crayton on Indies Unlimited
Amazon’s New Pre-Order Policies Give Authors More Flexibility
“Amazon recently made some changes to their pre-order process that give authors more flexibility.”

Therese Walsh on Writer Unboxed
How to Use Fiverr to Create a Book Trailer
“My husband first told me about Fiverr after the company he works for used their services to have a video created as a teaching tool for their staff. He raved about not only the quality of the video, but the experience of working with a Fiverr artist and the price tag that came along with it.”

John Doppler on Self Publishing Advice Center
How Indie Authors Can Avoid Predatory Awards
“With hundreds of contests and awards open to indie authors, it’s hard to know which contests and awards can be trusted.”

    cardiologist in hyderabad

experienced and one of the best cardiologists in Hyderabad at Balaji Heart Center, Chanda Nagar. I, Dr. R. Balaji wanted to be a lawyer in my childhood. My wish is partially fulfilled even as I became a doctor and an accomplished cardiologist as I now argue with the disease on behalf of my patients and it gives me great pleasure as I win often. Being born in a middle-class family and to a Govt. The employee made me humble personally and empathize with patients. Being a meritorious student my medical education was in Govt. (S V) medical college at Tirupathi, Andhra Pradesh. While studying MD (General Medicine) (1992-95) I witnessed the enormous burden of heart disease in society and the scope for curing many as the field was advancing fast and as there was the need to fill the gap.

Why?
"Writers change the world one reader at a time. But you can't change the world with a book that's still on your hard drive or in a box under your bed. This blog exists to help you get that book into people's hands."
