Author Blogging 101 at BAIPA

by Joel Friedlander on February 12, 2011 6 Comments

I’m off today giving a presentation to the Bay Area Independent Publishers Association (BAIPA).

The talk is on Author Blogging 101. I thought I might speak about book design, but the demand from the members I talked to was blogging and social media more than anything else.

Happy to oblige, I’ve put together a few dozen slides to introduce interested authors and self-publishers to this social media publishing format, and I think we’ll have fun.

In the meantime, here are some of the articles I’ve written on author blogging and the power of building a robust author platform. Enjoy.

I enjoyed the presentation. I can’t find a link to the [PowerPoint?] presentation you showed during your talk. You promised it would be available as a download for one week only.

Why?
"Writers change the world one reader at a time. But you can't change the world with a book that's still on your hard drive or in a box under your bed. This blog exists to help you get that book into people's hands."
