I suddenly realized the other day that summer here is almost over. Okay, admittedly, I can be a little slow on the uptake! Most of you had probably already clued into that! ☺ But, life has been busy and I’m still trying to find time to flop out under the shade of a tree and dive into a good book. What books on your summer reading list would you recommend and why? Let me know in the comments.

How to Change a Book Title Without Losing Reviews
“Sometimes it makes great marketing sense to change a book title after publication. This happens in the mainstream publishing trade, as well as in indieland.”

Author Podcasting: 10 Tips You Need
“Author podcasting is hot. But is podcasting one more thing that you need to do now to succeed at selling your books?”

Dan Wagstaff on The Casual Optimist
Book Covers of Note August 2018
“Good grief! We’re halfway through August! I suppose I’d better post some book covers…”

Diana Hurwitz on The Blood Red Pencil
Writers Workshops September & October 2018
“Whether a one day session, one week conference, or a month-long workshop, writing related events are a good way of communing with other writers, networking, and getting your name out there.”

David Gaughran on David Gaughran
How To Switch From Createspace to KDP Print
“Createspace is rumored to be closing soon – meaning all users will be forced to transition to KDP Print (or use an alternative service). I decided to get ahead of the move to scout out any potential issues, and there are a few for you to watch out for – meaning, somewhat paradoxically, that you may wish to make the leap sooner rather than later.”

Michael N. Marcus on Book Making
My index listed the wrong Scarborough. Errors can hide anywhere in your book. Look very carefully!
“No matter how many times you read, re-read and re-re-read, you’re bound to find mistakes in anything you’ve written.”

Why?
"Writers change the world one reader at a time. But you can't change the world with a book that's still on your hard drive or in a box under your bed. This blog exists to help you get that book into people's hands."
—Joel Friedlander
