Library Journal and BiblioBoard announced the third annual contest for the Indie Ebook Awards

The contest is seeking submissions in five genres:

  • Romance
  • Fantasy
  • Science Fiction
  • Mystery
  • Young Adult

One winner and two honorable mentions from each genre will be selected. Each genre winner shall receive $1,000, and all winners and honorable mentions will also receive:

  • a full Library Journal review
  • a promotional ad in Library Journal’s December 2017 Issue
  • formal recognition at the Library Journal Indie Ebook Awards reception at the American Library Association’s (ALA) 2018 Midwinter Meeting in Denver, Colorado

Additionally, one grand prize winner will be selected from among all genres. This winner will receive:

  • all of the above-mentioned rewards
  • plus a keynote speaking engagement at the 2018 Cities + Libraries Summit in Charleston, South Carolina

Submission period runs from May 1, 2017 to July 31, 2017. Final selections will go to a panel of judges appointed by Library Journal, where they will then have a chance to progress into a final round of judging by Library Journal editors. Winners will be announced in November 2017.
