Streamlining Your Writing, Publishing, and Marketing Process to Become a More Profitable Author
“2016 was a tough year for a lot of indie authors, with people reporting everything from flawed reporting and not getting credit for page reads in Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited program to no longer being able to get Bookbub ads to no longer being able to afford Facebook ads due to their increasing popularity with authors.”

How to Do Goodreads Giveaways (and Why You Should)
“Back in August 2014, I blogged about Goodreads giveaways and what I thought was best practice for authors interested in using them as a means of promoting their books [Goodreads Giveaways: Don’t Do What You’re Told]. Gallup Poll Shows Number of American Book Readers Not Affected by Smart Phones or Computers

The announcement of Gallup’s findings on Jan 6th was heartening to publishers and authors.

“Despite the abundance of digital diversions vying for their time and attention, most Americans are still reading books. In fact, they are consuming books at nearly the same rate that they were when Gallup last asked this question in 2002 — before smartphones, Facebook or Twitter became ubiquitous. More than one in three (35%) appear to be heavy readers, reading 11 or more books in the past year, while close to half (48%) read between one and 10 and just 16% read none.” – Gallup Poll Social Series

The study goes on the show that older Americans are the fastest growing reading population right now. Also, the METHOD of book reading came as bit of a surprise. Print books are not as weak or slipping as far as previously believed.

Hi Brenda, You must be using Kaspersky virus protection. They have had the site blocked for months, despite the site passing a full security check with Google and multiple requests to clear it up. We’re hearing that some users are no longer getting this warning from them recently, so it may be that you need to update to the latest version. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Why?
"Writers change the world one reader at a time. But you can't change the world with a book that's still on your hard drive or in a box under your bed. This blog exists to help you get that book into people's hands."
—Joel Friedlander
