Book launches: celebration of the culmination of all your hard work —OR— terrifying and exhausting series of events seemingly designed to crush you into fine powder?

Sometimes, it seems like a bit of both.

Truth, many authors don’t start thinking about how to launch their book until they upload it to their POD vendor or ebook retailer.

That’s too late, unfortunately.

No, depending on how involved your launch is, you may need to start planning for it 6 months (or more!) before your publication date.

A book launch is, without doubt, the best way to introduce your book to a wide range of people and create a sense of excitement and anticipation around your book.

But there are a lot of moving parts to most book launches, and authors naturally start looking for help when this reality begins to sink in.

That’s one of the reasons I often write and speak about book launches, and I love to watch them, too.

It Took Me a Long Time to Launch This One!

Back in 2011 I started thinking about how I could help these authors plan out their launches.

And do it in such a way that I could lower their anxiety while putting all the launch tools that work for indie authors in their hands.

Well, sometimes I’m not very fast, but with the help of writer platform expert Kimberley Grabas, earlier this year I introduced the Book Launch Toolkit.

The Toolkit made quite a splash, showing the strong interest in how to put one of these launches together without spending weeks doing research and trying to find the information you need.

“I began indie publishing in 2012… I only wish the Book Launch Toolkit had been around to throw me a life preserver. It’s got every tool, every idea, and every possible angle you can finesse to give your book the chance to succeed in an ever-crowded marketplace.”—Martin Turnbull, Author of the Garden of Allah Novels

Free Webinar Thursday: “Secrets of a Flawless Book Launch”

Come and join Kimberley and I as we walk you through the process of launching your book. This live event will be packed with content and actionable information you can start using right away.

Here’s a first: We’ll also have a “Webinar Action Guide” you can download as soon as you register that will help you get ready for the event.

Here’s the information you’ll need:

Free Webinar: “Secrets of a Flawless Book Launch: What you need to know to confidently plan and execute a winning book launch”
When: Thursday, October 1, 2015, 1:00 p.m. Pacific, 4:00 p.m. Eastern
Cost: Free
Register: Registration Page

Special Note: When we introduced the Toolkit earlier this year, we surprised attendees by giving away a brand new Apple iPad at the end of the session. We hadn’t announced it, so no one knew it was coming. This time, I’m letting you know now that after the instructional part of the webinar, we’ll be introducing new versions of the Toolkit bundle with some great new resources to make your launch even more successful. And yes, we’ll have a secret giveaway, too. But it’s only for webinar attendees. Just saying.

This presentation will open your eyes to what’s involved in launching your book, and the kinds of pitfalls that some authors fall into. I don’t want that to happen to you, so go grab your seat now and join us on Thursday.

“The Book Launch Toolkit is a fantastic and much-needed resource that bundles a huge amount of information into one tidy little package. With sample plans and useful worksheets for tracking your campaigns, it’s got everything you need to know to announce to the world that you’ve arrived.”—Suzanne Harris, Get-it-Written Strategist

Why?
"Writers change the world one reader at a time. But you can't change the world with a book that's still on your hard drive or in a box under your bed. This blog exists to help you get that book into people's hands."
