So today I sat down and made this video to show you what the templates look like and a little bit of how they are used.
I even make formatting errors and have to recover, always a useful lesson.
Keep in mind this is more of a quick tour so you can see how these templates work from the inside, but it’s not really an instructional video. Follow the steps as they’re outlined in our Formatting Guide to get the best results.
Some of the topics covered in this video:
- The Premise book template from BookDesignTemplates.com
- View modes in InDesign
- Eliminating imported formatting in one click
- Assigning new master pages
- Inserting pages into your document
- Placing a word processing file
We designed these templates for people who are not graphic artists. Those people already know InDesign.
We kept the templates simple and straightforward to help you format your books without having to learn a challenging new program from scratch.
When we get to the nonfiction books there will be plenty of powerful features in use. In the meantime, heres’ the 16:37 video, enjoy.
