I’m in Chicago today speaking at the IBPA Publishing University. These events bring together enthusiastic and forward-looking publishers and authors who want to stay on the leading edge of book publishing; trade professionals with decades of experience; and vendors who supply vital services to all of us.

This makes for quite a heady brew, and there’s always something delicious that comes out of it.

In the meantime, here are four articles on book formatting that have been published on other sites this week. There are some interesting discussions, some formatting tips, and of course all these bloggers have lots of great content of their own. Click on over and check them out.

The good, the bad, and the ugly in book interiors.

It’s all part of expanding our line of templates at BookDesignTemplates.com where we now have 9 different template designs, for print books and ebooks, and all on sale until the end of the month. That’s in a few days. Coupon codes for discounts are at each blog.

So if you’d like some tips on book formatting, a few good interviews, and lots of great reading, check out these posts. I’ll be back for Carnival of the Indies on Sunday.

And Don’t Forget…

Author U Extravaganza (Denver, May 2 – 4)
Come to Denver for an amazing 3 days of networking, learning, and socializing with fellow indie authors and publishing pros. I’m really excited about the opportunity to present a 4 hour workshop on how authors can use blogging to build a sustainable career in publishing. This is going to be a unique experience, but I’ve been told that there are only a few seats left. If you’re interested, act now and grab one of the remaining spots.

If you come to Chicago or Denver, please make sure to say hello, I’d love to connect. And there will be time for “Ask a pro” consultations at both events.
