You don&#039;t really need to encode the price into the ISBN and, in some cases it&#039;s better not to. Retailers scan the barcode but pull the price information from their own database anyway, since pricing is up to them. All you can put on the barcode is, in effect, an MSRP. I have no idea why CreateSpace wouldn&#039;t use a standard Bookland EAN barcode, you might want to double check or ask them which barcode they do recommend.</description>
